Virtual Children's Zulu Class
"We really enjoyed learning Zulu. We have started learning as a family and using the language in our day-to-day.
The teacher was very engaging, and patient, and my children looked forward to seeing her in each class."

About the Teacher
Desaray Wilson-Mnyandu
Desaray Wilson-Mnyandu is a black American by birth and a Zulu makoti by marriage. Her husband, Dr. Phiwokuhle Mnyandu was born and raised in Durban South, Africa. He created the Zulu language program at Howard University and is currently the Assistant Director of the Center for African Studies. Together they are raising and homeschooling their 4 children in a Washington DC suburb. Desaray is the co-founder of Zulunomics and an award winning author of several books about Zulu language and culture.
It is because of her children that Desaray began creating Zulu learning materials. It has been her ongoing goal to provide her children with a connection to their Zulu culture...especially because they live in America. It wasn't long before she realized that other children needed that connection too!
